About Me
I’m Philip Prewitt, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Denver, Colorado.
I work with individuals and couples who are looking for something more than just a place to talk—they want to understand what’s happening and actually make meaningful changes
How I think about therapy
A lot of the difficulty we experience isn’t just about what’s happening in our lives—it’s about the pattern of how we’re relating to those events with our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
My work is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness: by assisting my clients in learning to slow down and examine their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, I equip them with the tools they need to manage many problems including grief, anxiety, depression and relationship struggles.
My style is active, collaborative, and practical.
We won’t just talk—we’ll learn mindfulness skills to help you see your patterns day-to-day and cognitive and behavioral skills to shift those patterns in ways that are realistic and sustainable.
I tend to be direct when it’s helpful, but always with the goal of helping you feel more clear, capable, and grounded.
